🔑 How to create Shopify BCS API keys (NEW)

We use Shopify API keys to create several automated reports for the client and to create automated work sheets for dispute management.

Don't worry, we cannot hack your store. Via the steps below you will only give us read access. This means we cannot make changes via API access.

Please note, you need to make 2 separate apps with 2 client IDs and 2 client secrets.

1. BCS Shopify Order Data App

1. Log in to the correct store
2. Click on settings
3. Click on 'Apps and sales channels'
4. Click on 'Develop apps' and on 'Build apps in Dev Dashboard'
   
5. Click on 'Create app'
   
6. Set the 'App name' to: BCS API
7. URL of the app: https://backbonecustomerservice.com
8. Click on 'Select scopes'
   1. Search for 'orders' and select:
      1. write_orders
      2. read_all_orders

      3. read_orders

         
         

   2. Search for 'shopify_payments' and select:
      1. read_shopify_payments_payouts

      2. read_shopify_payments_disputes

         
         

9. Now click on 'Release'
   
10. Click on 'Settings' on the left hand side and send us the Client ID and Secret keys
    

10. Now finally click back on the app name 'BCS API' and click on "Install app"
 

 

2. BCS AI agent

1. Do the same process above again
2. Name: BCS AI Agent
3. URL of the app: https://backbonecustomerservice.com
4. Give the following permissions (might seem a lot, but its required for our AI to lookup all order relevant information and perform actions):
